Kevin Hines is an American mental health advocate, author, and motivational speaker who gained national attention after surviving a suicide attempt from the Golden Gate Bridge in 2000. Born in San Francisco in 1981, he experienced life-long challenges including epilepsy and bipolar disorder, which culminated in his dramatic jump at age 19. Having survived, he turned his near-death experience into purpose by founding the Kevin & Margaret Hines Foundation and sharing his story globally to promote suicide prevention, hope, and resilience. He is the author of Cracked, Not Broken and has appeared in Suicide: The Ripple Effect and numerous media platforms. Through his work, Hines continues to influence mental health policy, public education, and individual healing around the world.
