Paul Dalio

Filmmaker, Author, Musician

Paul Dalio is a filmmaker, author, and musician. He received his Masters from the NYU Graduate film school where he met his professor, Spike Lee who became executive producer of his first feature film, "Touched with Fire," starring Katie Holmes, inspired by the gifts he discovered in his bipolar disorder, which he wrote, directed and scored. The film premiered at SXSW film festival. It was a New York Times Critic's Pick and received awards from 11 mental health organizations for the impact it had in their communities.

This brought Paul into a lifelong mission, from public speaking to running the NYC Marathon for NAMI. Paul also used music to de-stigmatize bipolar, making an album with 18 Grammy nominated music producer Jerry Wonda. He’s currently doing music composition for Benson Taylor’s new group, LUCO which includes members from the bands: Blur, Interpol, The Idles, and the Vaccines. He wrote a book, “A Madman’s Revelation, a memoir of psychosis and prophecy,” which he’s currently editing, and is teaching a writer’s workshop at Columbia University.

He lives in New York with his wife/NYU film school classmate and their two kids.
