Rachel Platten
Singer-Songwriter
Rachel Ashley Platten is an American singer, songwriter, author, and advocate whose music has become a soundtrack of resilience and self-belief. Before hitting mainstream success, Platten independently released albums and performed in New York’s Greenwich Village while working odd jobs and honing her craft.
Her breakthrough came in 2015 with “Fight Song,” a deeply personal anthem that climbed into the Top 10 in multiple countries and became a rallying cry for self-empowerment. Her follow-up album Wildfire achieved gold certification, and she continued to release charting songs like “Stand by You” and “Better Place.”
Platten is also a published author and has used her platform to speak openly about mental health and motherhood. Her 2024 album, I Am Rachel Platten—released via her own Violet Records label—reconnects her art with personal healing and reflection.
In her philanthropic work, Platten has been active with Musicians On Call, visiting patients to perform bedside, and supporting causes like the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, Music Unites, and efforts to end global poverty.
