Sorina is the Founder and Lead Investor of CAD Therapeutics: a clinical stage biotech company focused on PTSD currently going thru Phase 2 studies.
Sorina has 23 years of experience in Institutional Asset Management and Global Capital Markets in London, Hong Kong, Toronto and New York.
She co-founded a hedge fund (Momentum), which was acquired by Pioneer Alternative Investments. Post-acquisition, Sorina was Head of the expansion of the Russell Investments Group Institutional Business. She was subsequently named Head of Canadian Institutional Business for Russell Investments Group in North America ($350bn), overseeing all aspects of the business: management consulting, asset management, manager research, manager selection, alternative assets, hedge funds and private equity while sitting on the Executive Management Committee and the Investment Committee.
Sorina previously sat on the Board of Directors of: University of Alaska, Canadian Melanoma Research Board, Canadian Theatre Company, Karbonstream Technology and Sears Canada. She currently sits on five Board of Directors positions including Park South Capital, CAD Therapeutics, Montreux Capital Partners and two FinTech. Sorina earned a BCom from Académie d'Études Économiques, and an MBA from the University of Toronto – Rotman School of Management.
