Silas Luke Jones
Guitarist & Multi-instrumentalist
At just 19 years old, Silas Luke Jones has emerged as one of Alaska’s most exciting young musicians. A multi-instrumentalist and self-taught acoustic guitarist, Silas gained national recognition after delivering a show-stopping performance on Season 20 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, where his solo rendition of “Misirlou” earned a standing ovation and unanimous praise from the judges.
Raised on a ranch in Homer and homeschooled from a young age, Silas immersed himself in music early on—first through traditional lessons and later through YouTube tutorials and online forums. His unique sound blends technical fingerstyle guitar with innovative use of effects, creating the depth and texture of a full band using just one instrument.
Before stepping onto the national stage, Silas made waves locally, winning first place at the Kenai Peninsula Fair and going on to take the top prize at the Alaska State Fair’s “Alaska’s Got Talent” competition.
Silas’s viral performance introduced millions to his artistry and earned him a growing fanbase far beyond his hometown. He continues to perform, compose, and push the boundaries of solo acoustic music—representing a new generation of musicians rooted in both tradition and experimentation.
